Our Dachshund Family

This page is content with all the different Gem Dashies that breed your next family member. These profiles give you an insight into the parents personality and nature and the fun/mischief they get up to in their every day life as a member of our family.

Meg - our original "gem" which is meg spelt backwards. This gorgeous girl passed away after 12 years of constant companionship. She loved hunting mice and would often chase the cat with Coco (even though she raised him and slept in the same bed at night).  Meg was a tan dachshund no bigger than a beer bottle but at times as wide - her nickname as pumpkin dog if she got into the scraps when no one was looking! We miss her and are so grateful she helped raise our children.   Meg
Coco - shaded red (retired).  We came by Coco as many parents do as a puppy left at home to be babysat by a teenager. In the end Coco spent more time here and became our girl. She loves the garden and swimming, her one bad habit is chasing the cat Sheldon (who does not appreciate the attention ;) Coco spends her days overseeing the puppy play and leading the charge as part of the welcoming committee. Coco
Tally - chocolate and tan. This girl is the sweetest and most loyal dachshund and Mums favourite girl.  She is an ever constant shadow, wherever we are she is there with us.  Tally has a super temperament and we love that he passes on her lovely nature to her puppies. She often produces dapples (silver and chocolate) with long ears and sweet faces.  Tally
Lulu chocolate tan. if Tally is mums then Lulu is Dads girl. She is the explorer of the household and spends alot of time in the shed with the boys. Lulu had her first litter this year and we can't wait to see what next year brings when we join her to choc pied boy. Lulu
Luna - ee red is a light cream coloured short haired mini.  Her proper name is Luna lovegood and she belongs to our son. Luna is the energetic puppy at 12 months of age and she contains three generations of Gem Dashies (Meg, Coco, Bella) We can't wait to see what comes next for this sweet girl.
